Not bad

I could definitely hear this in an early 90s video game. Not bad.

My main criticism would be that I might avoid the cymbals in that program - the sound isn't particularly good, and I know you were trying to go for a heavy feel, but it's just not possible with some sound files (especially standard MIDI). They work pretty well on the hits, but not so much as part of the repeated drum loop.

I see.
Well, it's a musical concept of my song. If I ever get means to record it normally, I will do it :)

Really nice

No idea if you check this, but I wanted to write you a note anyhow. I found your music by following a few people's favorites lists and am glad I did. This is the kind of electronic music I remember from back in the day - music with a little substance. You do a great job weaving together ostinati over a pretty simple set of harmonic progressions and your instrument choices add to a concerted whole rather than competing for attention. Really well done. Can't wait to check out your other stuff.

Whoah

That's some pretty intense stuff, man. Nicely done. Lots of variety in the sound, lots of shifts in your ideas. Kind of reminds me (a little) of SoaD. What program are you using?

RoyalRave responds:

Thank you very nuch for the review dude!

We were using the guitar rig 2 for guitars and bass, battery for drums and cubase for recording, also, we used a hammond program for the organs in the intro, and i think that's all.

Nice work

I like the basic idea and especially your sound choices - the gamelan-type sound gives it a unique feel. I think your other reviewer is right in that a bridge might have helped add some variety. 'Round about the 2 minute mark the harmonic progression begins to wear thin.

Keep up the good work!

d00dfayz responds:

Yeah, I noticed the repetetiveness at the end of the track, I was running out of ideas. However, It's nice that you took time to take a look at my tracks and make a much more detailed review than I did. Thanks!

Wow!

Great stuff. I love the intro - it adds more interest than the typical layered build - and the various changes you introduce make it stand out more than usual trance music, too. Good call on the meter, too. Lots of energy in the triple. Woot!

Hi. I'm a musician and voice actor. PM me if you need some music or VA work from a male with a fairly wide range, decent dialect skills, and a decent mic (a Blue Snowball). I have reasonably good recording, editing, and mastering skills.
